- Claim by the author of the article that he had to correct the belief that a man, Mr. Liggins, was George Eliot. He wrote a letter to the papers to prove Mr. Liggins false, and to his surprise, there were many attacks against him in support of Mr. Liggins who many still believed was George Eliot.
