George Eliot Memorial Gardens, Nuneaton

The George Eliot Memorial Garden is located where the Dempster House in “Janet’s Repentance” once stood. This area was bombed in 1941, and reconstruction destroyed scenes that were familiar to George Eliot as a young girl.
