Medical attendant to the Vincy family; an irritable man, who shows great hostility to Lydgate after the latter replaces him in the Vincy family. "Mr. Wrench was a small, neat, bilious man, with a well-dressed wig; he had a laborious practice, and irascible temper, a lymphatic wife, and seven children."
