Oldinport, Mr.

The squire of Knebley parish in Mr. Gilfil's time; an exacting landlord, cousin and predecessor of the Mr. Oldinport of Amos Barton. The original of this Mr. Oldinport was Francis Parker Newdigate, who succeeded to the Arbury Hall estates in 1806 on the death of Sir Roger Newdigate, the last baronet.
