Salviati, Marco (Hist.)

A friend of Savonarola, who commands the body of three hundred armed citizens at the Trial by Fire. His name is usually given as Marcuoccio Salviati, but Nerli, in his Commentarj, one of the sources used by George Eliot, gives the name as Marco.
