"Auld Lang Syne" (Real)

Tune played by the Tory band at the Treby election. A Scottish popular song which Robert Burns set originally to an older tune which was displaced in 1799 by the present tune ; an air popular in Scotland during the second half of the eighteenth century. There is some question whether Burns wrote all the words or adapted some stanzas from an older song.
