Arbues, Master (Real)

Grand Inquisitor of Aragon. Maestre Pedro Arbues, a canon of the cathedral of Saragasso, who was appointed Inquisitor by Torquemada in 1484. September 15, 1485, he was attacked as he was praying in the cathedral, and died a few days later as a result of his injuries. He was regarded as a martyr, and was canonized in 1867.
