Scala Palace (Real)

Scala Palace (Real),The handsome palace close to the Porta Pinit where Bartolommeo Scala lived; "now known as the Casa Gherardesca." The Casa Gherardesca on the Via de' Pinti, originally built for Bartolommeo Scala, passed later to Alessandro de' Medici, Archbishop of Florence, afterwards Pope Leo XI, and eventually became the property of the Gherardesca family.
