"Moor, The (Real),A druggist's shop which pretends to rival Nello's barber shop as a resort for the eruditi. The Pharmacia del Moro, or del Saracino (both names were used), which had a Moor's head for a sign, was one of the oldest and best known in Florence, and by the beginning of the sixteenth century was already established at the Canto alla Paglia, at the corner of the Borgo San Lorenzo and the Piazza San Giovanni.
