Lantern Yard,The street in a great manufacturing town, where the chapel of Silas Marner's youth was situated. An article by F. W. Humberstone, in the Coventry Herald, 14-15th November, 1919, suggests that the original of Lantern yard may have been Vicar's Lane, in Coventry, which had several of the features of Lantern Yard.
