"Over the Hills and Far Away" (Real)

A tune which Solomon Macey plays at the New Year's dance at the Red House. This song is found in George Farquhar's play The Recruiting Officer, first produced 1706. There is also a song to the same air and with the same refrain "Over the Hills", etc., in Gay's Beggar's Opera.
