Brother

The elder of the two children in the poem Brother and Sister. He is the hero and leader in the childish adventures and explorations, and is followed with puppy-like affection by his little sister of four or five years of age. The poem Brother and Sister is autobiographic, and describes the relation between George Eliot and her brother Isaac Evans, the "Brother" of the poem.
