Malthouse Yard

Malthouse Yard,The location of the Independent Chapel and of Mr. Lyon's house in Treby Magna. The original of Rufus Lyon's chapel in Malthouse Yard was Cow Lane Chapel, Coventry, where the Reverend Francis Franklin ("Rufus Lyon") preached for fifty four years. George Eliot went to this chapel when she was a studen in the Misses Franklin's school.
